Startup Turkey, in its 8th year, reveals a vibrant Turkish startup ecosystem. Entrepreneurs from across Turkey and neighboring countries descended upon the Mediterranean resort town Antalya this late last month to pitch their ideas at Startup Turkey.

The Startup Turkey event was a chance for some 30 start-ups to pitch their companies to an audience of peers, investors and VCs. Turkey's Internet scene is emerging, and this was reflected in the sort of companies that presented: games companies and e-commerce sites were by far the most common.

This year TOBB Startup Turkey hosted 4000 participants from 63 countries between 6-10 October. Cash Basha from Jordan won the first place, while Innovera Labs from Turkey took the second place. Pobuca became the third best startup of the event.

Bekraf (The Creative Economy Agency) is bringing local startups to the Istanbul Startup because the annual event became a forum for the gathering of thousands of world-renowned startups and investors. TOBB Startup Turkey held in Volkswagen Arena with more than 4,000 attendees and 1,000 startups from 63 countries. As a result of the jury voting, Cash Basha from Jordan won the first place, while Innovera Labs from Turkey took the second place. Pobuca became the third best startup of the event.
